AT&T lifts wireless service revenue growth forecast on more subscriber additions
On thursday, AT&T Inc increased it’s projection for it’s yearly revenue growth at its wireless service business on strong subscriber gains as many individuals travel in summertime and utilize the company’s roaming services.
AT&T has been prioritizing on making its 5G and fiber internet services widely accessible and has multiplied its promotional activities to acquire more subscribers. As an outcome of expansion of its 5G network, the business added 813,000 net new monthly bill paying phone users in the second quarter compared to 691,000 gains in the first quarter.
John Stankey, Chief Executive Officer said, “As a result of our higher than forecasted customer growth, we’re increasing our mobility service revenue guidance to 4.5-5% for the full year.” AT&T had earlier forecast wireless service revenue growth of 3% or more.
