Record inflation, decreasing consumer confidence, and economic slowdown are considered as the prime reasons behind this development.<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting to note here that while the top five vendors (Apple, Samsung, Motorola, TCL, and Google) have experienced positive growth, others fell by 61% in Q2. Apple\u2019s shipments grew by 3% so Samsung\u2019s shipments increased by 4% in Q2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumer interest for low-end and high-end devices is sustaining the market, while the desire for mid-range gadgets is vanishing fast,\u201d said Canalys Research Analyst Brian Lynch. \u201cConcerns over demand in the second half of 2022 have taken root for both vendors and carriers, leading to tighter control over inventory and other costs. Vendors are now expected to invest heavily in marketing to speed up sell-though.
